EMILIA AYALA DE LEON
Emilia Ayala joined the firm in August 2015. Her practice is focused in Immigration and Nationality Law. She is currently practicing remotely from Atlanta where her husband, Dr. Miguel Urencio, is completing a pediatric surgery fellowship.
Emilia is originally from Mexico City, Mexico- where she received her law degree in 2010 from Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, México – LL.B. (Licenciatura en Derecho). She came to the U.S. to expand and understand the American legal system and earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in 2013 from Mississippi College School of Law.
Emilia has practiced U.S. Immigration & Nationality law since 2014. During 2014, she worked as a volunteer with Catholic Charities Jackson in the Migrant Support Center. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and a member of the Junior League of Alabama.
Before coming to the U.S., she practiced as an associate attorney for 2 years in a prestigious firm in Mexico City- Bufete Becerra Pocoroba, S.C., primarily in the areas of tax and administrative law.
